The Club
West Lancashire Yacht Club (WLYC) was founded in 1894 and is one of the oldest sailing clubs in the North West.
The clubhouse occupies a pleasant lakeside location overlooking Southport Marine Lake and the promenade. It is well appointed, with Club memorabilia reflecting its past history and connections with Southport.
Our Facilities
The Club offers the following amenities -:
- A large function room adjacent to the bar and capable of accommodating up to 120 people.
- Accessible facilities.
- On site car parking.
- A paved area in front of the Clubhouse which can be furnished with patio furniture (weather permitting!)
- Catering facilities: Catering is provided by our preferred caterers, D’vine Catering of Birkdale.

Our Experience
The Club is a frequent venue for special occasions including wedding receptions, engagement and birthday celebrations and our facilities are ideal for dancing.
The Clubhouse is suitable for use as a venue for business meetings and training courses.
