Southport Seaside 10Km Road Race
Sunday 23rd September 2018
The Southport Seaside Road Race will take place on Sunday 23rd September 2018 with a maximum of 2000 runners. The race starts at 10:30 hours in Princes Park, the runners will exit out of the park onto the footpath of Esplanade before heading along the Promenade, under the pier and along the rear of the Southport Convention Centre. The route then returns to the Promenade and runners head north onto the cycle lane on fairway before heading down Marine Drive and across Princes Park before completing a second lap.
To protect the runners Marine Drive will be closed from the roundabout at the top of the slip road to the beach to the rear of Pleasureland to the junction with Fairway, and the cycle track alongside Fairway. It is expected that Marine Drive will be closed from 10:00 hours until 12:30 and the Fairway cycle track will be closed during the same hours.
