Starting Sequence - Saturday's Handicap Racing

Order Of Starts

Races shall be started by using the following signals.
Times shall be taken from the visual signals; the absence of a sound signal shall be disregarded.
(Racing Rules of Sailing 2021-2024, Part 3 - Conduct of a race, #26)

6.4 SATURDAY SERIES RACING

Starting signals will be made at two minute intervals (4 - 2 - GO).

(a) There will be a single start and scored as handicap racing.

(b) If there are too many starters for a long start line then, at the discretion of the OoD, the racing may be separate class starts.

T - 4       Fast Handicap fleet flag raised
T - 2     Preparatory flag raised
T - 0         Prparatory flag & Fast Handicap fleet flag lowered

Recall Signals

Individual Recall   Flag raised + Sound (x1)
General Recall   Flag raised + Sound (x2), Warning signal will be made 1 minute after removal.
